Gear Recommendations and Ethics

Gear Recommendations and Ethics

I only recommend gear that I actually use. Whenever you come across a link to Amazon.com, I might get a small commission if you click the link and buy something at their website within a short period of time. However, the price you pay at Amazon.com is exactly the same as if you had gotten there from any other place or typed in the websites address yourself in your browser. This is Amazon’s way to say “Thank you” to me for helping get people to visit their website and buy something there. Hopefully, I help you make up your mind, about what photography gear will help you get better at photography. In that way, I hope you feel that we both get something out of my gear pages or recommendations and reviews.

I don’t want you go out and buy stuff that you don’t need. In fact, I believe that you will develop more by using the gear that you already have, and spend some money on a photography course, video or ebook instead. However, many are in doubt about how to upgrade their camera gear, just as I was, when I first started out in photography. So I offer the recommendations, as a way to help other photographers, by sharing my own experience with these products. If I am disappointed with a thing I bought and tried, it will never make it to my gear pages and I will of course never recommend it.

If you don’t like that I get a small commission when you use my links to Amazon, you can clear your browser cookies to avoid Amazon accrediting me for any purchases you make at their website.
